Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Jarvis Studio (a sole trader operated by Micheal Jarvis, North East England) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use jarvisstudio.co.uk or engage my services. I am the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
01What I collect
- Enquiry details you submit through the project form — name, email, phone, company, website, location, and anything you tell me about your project.
- Payment details when you pay a deposit or invoice — handled directly by Stripe. I receive confirmation and basic details (name, amount) but never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data such as your approximate location and device/browser type, collected by hosting and analytics.
02How I use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request.
- To process payments and send receipts and invoices.
- To communicate with you about your project.
- To improve the website and understand how visitors use it.
03Legal basis
I process your data on the basis of consent (when you submit the form and tick the consent box), performance of a contract (to deliver your project), and legitimate interests (to run and improve my business). Where I rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
04Who I share it with
I only share data with trusted providers that help me run the business, and never sell it:
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
- Formspree — delivers project-form submissions to my inbox.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Analytics provider — anonymous/aggregated visitor statistics.
05How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and project data only as long as needed to provide services and meet legal/accounting obligations (financial records are typically kept for 6 years). You can ask me to delete data that I am not legally required to keep.
06Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@jarvisstudio.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
07Cookies & analytics
The site uses minimal cookies and privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate visitor numbers. No advertising trackers are used. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
